Aromatic Cedar
What an ingenious use of scrub cedar, which grows prolifically in the Texas hill country. A relatively soft wood, Schenck & Company cut this cedar into end-grain blocks for added strength and dent resistance. The color contrast between the sap and heartwood gives this custom installation a distinctive, geometric pattern.
